I felt like the whole time the book was like “this is not the Disney version of Sleeping Beauty but we’re still going to subtly reference it even though, did I mention, it’s Bdauty the Disney version. I liked that Aurore wasn’t your typical princess, that she preferred getting her hands dirty, but that was pretty much all I liked about her.
